Trustee sought for the Daubeny Almshouse North Bradley

The Trustees of the Daubeny Almshouse are seeking a new Trustee to help us to administer the Almshouse.

The Almshouse was founded in 1808 and provides accommodation in 6 flats for people who qualify under the Trust Deed. Residents have to be capable of living independently and the responsibilities of the Trustees are limited to ensuring that the building and Trust requirements are maintained.

The commitment is to attend Trustee meetings (usually 3 a year), to decide policy and finance matters, and occasionally attend the premises, for instance to inspect the fabric of the building.

Ideally we need somebody who lives in the village who is able to attend and contribute to the meetings constructively. No previous experience is required. The role is unpaid.

If you are interested, please email the Clerk on for further information or write to the Clerk at the Daubeny Almshouse, Southwick Road, North Bradley – there is a postbox for the Clerk inside the main door.
