Litter Picking Event

The local manager of McDonalds in Bradley Road is organising a Litter Pick as part of Love Where You Live 2017.

As you may know, I take my responsibility to the local community I serve extremely seriously, especially the local environment.

We are committed to playing our part in reducing litter and whilst the majority of our customers dispose of rubbish responsibly, we recognise that the minority who do not can create problems for residents, local authorities, and local businesses.

To this end, I am organising a local litter event, to take place at a well-known problem area local to the store on 25/07/17 at 15.30. Last year, we came together with the local community as you may remember to hold a litter event, with nearly 30  volunteers collecting tens of bags of litter. This is in addition to daily litter patrols in the vicinity of the restaurant, picking up all litter, not just branded McDonald’s litter; our long-term relationships with Keep Britain Tidy and others; and customer messaging on all of our packaging, tray liners, Drive-Thru signage and litter bins - including the Tidyman logo - encouraging our customers to dispose of packaging responsibly.

If I have missed anyone you think may be interested, please forward this e-mail on my behalf.

I’d really appreciate it if you could get involved. If you would like to RSVP, or for further information, please feel free to call into the restaurant to speak with me or contact me via 01225777289 or  .

Yours sincerely,

Business Manager"
